Finished!

Yeah. It was actually last week end when I had a marathon of Boys Over Flowers. In an instant, I have a new crush. Yeah. Goo Joon Pyo, who else?!

Boys Over Flowers may not be as good as the original Hana Yori Dango but it's definitely way better than Meteor Garden. Less Drama, more comic antics. I love the OST even more. I like this song (eto ung ginamit sa eksena na kinalimutan na ni Goo Joon Pyo si Geum Jan Di). I really don't understand the lyrics but the melody somehow pinched my heart. hayYyyy...

On Buying LCD TV

Hubby has been very persistent in telling me that he will bring home an LCD TV in December since LCD TV in the U.S. are priced dirt cheap compared to what we have locally. I don't know if buying one is practical idea since we don't have our own home as of the moment. Besides, his and my parents' house already have LCD TVs installed with TV wall mount. I think I will have to discourage him because of the taxes he has to pay for that appliance. Let's just wait and see how far my power of persuassion will go.

It's Almost Week End

I so envy Joanne. She had a blast when she and her dear hubby went to Boracay for a long week end get away. I have previously mentioned that I have two out of town vacations set this year but it seems that the one I have booked for October will be cancelled because of recent developments at work. But I am darn sure that our December get away will still be a go. We didn't reserve any luxurious hotel like that of Riviera hotel but I am sure that we will still have a blast. This is gonna be our first vacation as a family. :)

Meeting an Old Friend

About two weeks ago, I visited a former boss at his new work. I was really ecstatic upon seeing him. He was just glowing and I can see that he is genuinely happy with the company is working for. Well, that is exactly what I am looking for- a new job. It feels like “T” is no longer the company I used to know so I want OUT. This former boss really knows how to deal and take care of his people. I was just surprise to see that one of the exit signs in his office still bears the name of our company. LOL Anyway, I’ll see him soon. :)

3 more months

In less than 3 months, we will be celebrating my first born’s natal day. We really need to work a lot with our meager budget so that all the things we want on the birthday celebration will materialize. I have just attended a balloon workshop seminar and I am pretty happy with all the things I have learned. As for the other “must-haves”, I have coerced sweet pea’s godparents who are photo enthusiast to cover the event. Thanks to those digital camcorders, we need not to worry about video coverage. One of Terrence’s paternal granny will lend us her HD camcorder. Wheew! That’s a lot of savings for me. :)

Wedding Memories

This is one of my favorite wedding pictures. Many of our friends have asked me whether this was photoshop-ed or if we were really in Ped Xing.

I say that this is a real thing. We literally shot his photo in the middle of pedestrian lane somewhere along the hi-way of Manila Bay. As I reminisce the experience, I couldn’t help but wish that I wore one of those good
corsets as my gown’s fit was really snag. Well, I really didn’t expect that much since I just wore not a designer gown but a Divisoria-made gown. In the end, I don’t really regret getting Divi gown as I really didn’t want to spend a fortune for a dress that I will only get to wear only once.

On Summer Lessons

If I were to enroll Terrence in a summer lesson on his grade school years, I would have him enrolled in one of those piano lessons. Yep. Piano lessons. I find it cooler than getting him involved into a basketball clinic. I have always been intrigued with guys who know how to play instruments, more specifically “soft” instruments like piano or saxophone. I think that he will be a ‘chick magnet’ when he learns this. I just hope that he won’t end up with a show band as his bread and butter. I know you know what I mean.

Terrence's First Swimming Experience

I was decluttering my EHD when I saw this.

Nephew, Niece, Sister, Nanny, Terrence.

This picture was sweet pea's first swimming experience when he was just 5 months old. It was one humid day in February when my sister decided to take a dip in a local private pool. I was not with them as I was a dead meat when I came home from work. I have just purchaed him a "mini" pool and I could just imagine how giddy he will be once he sees my 9th month present for him. :)

Secure Yourself and Your Family

I really don’t know if hubby has insurance. But as far as Terrence and I are concern, we do. Well, for Terrence, it was more of a long-term savings plan from PhilAm Life that also covers the payer’sdisability insurance and that is me.
In this age, it is very important that one gets some kind of insurance policy. It does not only give you security but also the welfare of your family. Speaking of insurance, our CompenBen department is going to hold a staff meeting regarding life insurance that our HMO provide will cover starting December. I am not sure if I am going to attend. After all, I have no intentions of being in our company for the rest of the year.

Not Much

..for any personal updates. It's not that I don't have the time. That is a lame excuse. I should admit. For the past few weeks, yes weeks, laziness hit me. Maybe this has something to do with the recent events that are happening in the office. Once I get a 'confirmation', I will really get back myself into groove.

On Building Our Home

Hubby and I don’t have any plans of building our dream home yet. Well, not in the next 5 years. If we are going to build our dream home, I want to go all the way which should include house fixtures and top of the line appliance. We are also contemplating whether we will have granite or glass tile. One thing is for sure though; we won’t have our home in metro. I am tried of noise and pollution. Rather, we will build it in either Lancaster or Centennial Subd. in Kawit, Cavite. It took us two years to plan our wedding. Now, we are taking the long road in building our dream home. I want it to be perfect. So RUSH is an unnecessary thing that we need to have.

A Quick Visit to the Apartment

I am renting an apartment somewhere in Pasig that is actually, I mean literally juts 5 minutes travel away from the office. I am renting it together with a friend. It is a 75 sq. meter-2 BR apartment. But since the nanny situation I had to deal with for the past 3 months, I had to bring Terrence back and forth Cavite-Q.C. Last week, I decided to spend one night (err.. technically one afternoon) in my apartment. I was surprised to see that the one of the sinkfaucets has been broken. It was good though that my flat mate’s boyfriend quickly replaced it with a new one. Aside from that, all is still well in that small yet cozy apartment.

New Nanny

In two weeks, I will get a new nanny. Unfortunately, the nanny that I have right now is good for nothing. That is why even though she still owes me an amount that is almost as a bank teller’s one- month salary, I decided to let her go. Not totally let her go but she still has to pay me the amount that she owes me by rendering 3 months service as an all-around helper. With the new nanny, I am going to buy not sleep number bed but just a durable mattress instead. I hope that this new nanny will be really good. I am crossing my fingers. J

Celebrity Deaths

Last Thursday, two Hollywood celebrities died and hell, it shook the world. Of course, the death of King of Pop, Michael Jackson was such a huge news but let us also not forget one of the original Charlie’s Angels angels Farrah Fawcett who died of cancer (was it anal cancer or Mesothelioma cancer?). Anyway, this only proves that no matter how much money you have in this world, you can’t prevent death if it’s really your time. A lot have said their good memories about MJ and Farrah but it is just so sad to know that people are now talking about their good deeds while they have spent the last years of their lives being scrutinized of some critical eyes.

Delayed Plan

Last Friday, my office colleagues and I were supposed to enroll ourselves in a gym somewhere in Shaw Blvd that is operating 24/7 but to my dismay, half of the team was on a vacation time off. I am dead set on trimming down my weight before resorting to any kind of appetite suppressant. Apart from the idea of losing weight itself, I wanted to feel healthy too. I don’t think I’m having enough exercise since I gave birth that’s why I haven’t really lost the extra pounds I have gained. Hopefully, the plan will be a go this Monday.
