Wednesday, January 30, 2008Something to look forward toSomeone sent me this today. I hope this will inspire you the way it has inspired me. ![]() Labels: inspirationals James (my QAA) borrowed my cell phone because he wants to see if I have the cell phone applications that he wanted. While talking to Amy (my QAS), I just saw him giggling with another QAS, Josh. After a while he teased me by saying that Kim CHui is my idol because I have her Crazy Love MP3 in my cell phone. Ehh, ano na? Teen ager? Though I have foolishly explained my side, my team won't just believe. They believe that Kim Chiu is indeed my IDOL... anak ng tokwa! Labels: office stories Tuesday, January 29, 2008MatulisI was absent yesterday. I can no longer drink coffee or anything that has caffeine. I cant't afford to be stressed. I'll be a snob when it comes to office problems. I need to have lots of folic acid. I am loving noodles from dusk till dawn. Carol just made it. James had the same thing. But Jennilyn M. has just announced it. I know that all of you, my co-bloggers are logical people so think...think...think (,") Labels: wala lang. Sunday, January 27, 2008One horrible airport experienceI am writing this post on a real time basis. We were supposed to be aboard on the Cebu Pacific plane right now but Russell and I are in a van terminal on our way to Caticlan instead. Why? Because apparently, we were 10 minutes late off the check-in desk closure. Check-in Desk lang yon at hindi boarding time huh! Damn! We tried to negotiate with Cebu Pacific’s ticketing office personnel but to no avail. Though I blame the super slow van that we took from Caticlan to Kalibo airport (at nasiraan pa kami) but I just feel that CP could have done something to accommodate us. This is not the first time that I had a terrible experience with Cebu Pacific. About 4 months ago, Russell booked Cebu Pacific (as well) for our honeymoon right after the wedding. There was an error. Instead of booking Dec. 27 to 30th, he booked Dec. 26 till 5:30 pm of Dec. 31st. Eh kamusta naman yon! Haggard! Upon his arrival in the Philippines, I asked him to rebook the flight since I know that rebooking fee is only P300. To my surprise, the customer service rep that Russell talked to told him that he has to pay another P7,600 because of other fees and kung anu-anong kachorvahan. Haller! Magkano lang ung plane ticket naming noh! Wala pang P8,000! Rebooking our flight just because of a simple mistake should not cost another plane ticket (yeah, it seemed to me that we are booking a new set of ticket). With that, I told him that he just have to cancel the booking. So he did cancel it on the first week of November. The CSR told us that the refund of the money, since Bebeh used credit card, would have a turn around period of 60 days. That was actually fine with us because all we wanted is to have our money back. We don’t want to spend money for nothing. We were expecting for the money to be refunded sometime second week of January 2008. Tang ina! It’s already the 27th and yet, no refund! Wow, ang galing noh! Pag refund ng pera, it takes 48 years bago ang ma-process. Anyhow, we initially thought of just having the flight tomorrow. CP only has two flights for today. One is the 10:50am flight (our flight) and the other is at 4:40 (second and last flight for the day). But after so much contemplation, we decided to take SEAIR instead. Why? Because an upgrade for a Cebu Pacific ticket would cost us around P1,600 each (that already P3,200). Then there’s the charge for room rental (P1,500) plus the money we have to spend for dinner again. I was quick to have thought of looking for an Asian Spirit office. There was one in the Kalibo Airport but they don’t accept domestic flights. They just accept Kalibo-Incheon flight. Too bad though that all of their flights are fully booked. So we inquired at SEAIR. The very polite office personnel of SEAIR directed us to their Caticlan office where domestic flights are being taken cared off. Thank God, they also accept credit card. Russell and I no longer have enough cash in our wallet to shoulder another P4,200 (yeah, that’s the price we were quoted with SEAIR for chance passenger). The van is about to get full now. I am confident that we will have seats with SEAIR since they got the most number of Caticlan-Manila flights. (By the way, we just learned from the airport people that the Caticlan airport only has 3 air carriers: Asian Spirit, SEAIR and Air Philippines...so wala pa ung sinasabi ng Cebu Pacific na may direct flight na sila sa Caticlan. Unless they do have their own airport huh!) We're boarding SEAIR now. This is only a 35-minute flight from Caticlan to Manila. Lesson learned: If you are going to ride Cebu Pacific, make sure that you will be at the airport an hour before your flight. Calculate the travel time plus any unfavorable incidence that might cause travel delay. And lastly, if you want to have some peace of mind, DO NOT RIDE CEBU PACIFIC! Edited (8:26pm) : We just got home. Though we incurred a hefty 4k, I am just happy that we are HOME. Downside though, I have to face 'reality' again by tomorrow. Bummer! Up Next: Our 4th day and 5th day Boracay stories. Labels: experience, travel and living I do not usually check my multiply account. That is why when I opened my account today, I was surprised to see lots of invites from people (who I don't know) to be included in their network. Most of them offers apparels and accessories. These are the things I seldom shop for. LOL Still, I decided to take a peek of the products they are offering. Some of them really has a wide variety of products to choose from. As I browse the photos (with no price tags), I can't help but think "What if I want to order 5 different products or what if I want to order in bulk?" I can just imagine how much computation will be needed before I could get a quote. Whereas, if merchants are using an ecommerce software, selling online won't be a problem for them. Though I know that having one can be an additional overhead cost, the easiness of online shopping will generate higher revenue returns. Saturday, January 26, 2008Boracay : Day 3Friday. We were pretty excited with this day. Miski naman sa Manila. Friday and Saturday were the best days of the week for almost all of the people I know. For this day, we started the day with the walang kamatayang walking along the seashore. Hehehehe. We were looking for the Boracay Sand castle but according to the locals there, the sand was demolished for some reason. Walang malinaw na reason eh. May nagreklamo lang daw na resort owner. Ah eh ewan. So what we did instead is indulged ourselves in a very rejuvenating whole body massage. Sa iba, whole body massage is for P800, but we had it for only P350. The only downside though is that you will have the massage along the seashore- where everybody could see you. Ung P800 kasi, may pwesto mismo. But it was good anyway. The masseurs there used coconut oil. Lahat ng lamig sa katawan ko, natanggal. It was really relaxing. After the massage session, Russell indulged himself in a mocha frap by Lonely Planet Cafe. Nung Wednesday nya pa pinupuntirya yun eh. I am not sure if he is pregnant or what. LOL Since we are feeling a little squeaky with the oil, we decided to go back to the hotel para magbanlaw. It was already 5pm when we decided to have a swim again. We also took some pictures and I think, Russell did a great job in capturing them. Come 8pm, we dinned out in one of the food shops in the talipapa. It was real good. After the sumptuous meal, we headed out to BomBom Bar where there were performers. Too bad though that we did not bring out our camera. Russell had red horse while I had a Cosmopolitan. Oh, by the way we smoked too! Hahahaha! that was a first. We decided to pack up at around midnight. Since both Russell and I were drunk, you know what happened next. *wink* Today is Saturday, it's our last night. Our flight is scheduled at 11:00am tomorrow. Swimming galore na talaga ngaun. :) Labels: beach, travel and living Thursday, January 24, 2008Boracay: Day 2We dozed off on our first day her (Wednesday night) quite early. For dinner, we treated ourselves with a dinner buffet in a restaurant somewhere in Station 2. As a result, we woke yesterday early din (5:30am). We start the day with a long walk along the Boracay shores. Imagine naman, from Station 2 to Station 1. Tapos balik ulet ng Station 2 all the way to Station 3. Inabutan na kami ng 9:30. eh kamusta naman yon?! Anyhoo, we were strolling around back to our hotel when we decided (out of the blue) to go island hopping. Yes my dea, after all it's only P600/head included na ang lunch. Ewan ko ba, bibili lang naman kami dapat ng halo-halo eh bakit kami napadpad sa island hopping. I was meaning to take a bath pa naman sana kaso we only have a few more minutes bago umalis ung bangka. Again, we walked from Station 2 to 3 to meet the boatman. There were 16 people in the boat. Puro thunders ang kasama. LOL It was a good thing though kasi walang pasaway na mga teenager o mga nasa early adulthood. Kung hindi, baka nagwating na ako. Our first stop: Snorkeling. Russell was the first one to try this out. I was afraid of the waves. Mejo malakas kasi eh. But later on, I tried to take all the courage that I have to join him. Here are few pix of our snorkeling. It was pretty tiring and we need some refreshments (we forgot to bring drinks). It was a great thing that there was a local selling buko juice in his mini-bangka. Yes my dear. Nagbebenta si Kuya ng buko sa gitna ng karagatan gamit ang kanyang bangka. Har har har. Hanep noh! We were supposed to go to the crocodile island but since the wave is getting wilder and wilder, the group just decided to have our lunch. The lunch was not not that spectacular pero nabusog (inihaw na bangus, adobong pusit, chicken and pork barbecue, mussels, chopseuy, and watermelon) After the sumptuous lunch, we then proceeded to the Crystal Cove. There was a P100 entrance fee. Bad trip lang ung wave because we never got the chance na magtampisaw ng tubig sa loob ng cave. Our last stop was the Balinghai island. As we were heading to that island, the boatman directed to us to Manny Pacquiao's rest house. It is still under construction pero ang bongga nya huh... Back to Balinghai we again did snorkeling and we swam to the max na. We know kasi that we get back to Station 2, we will run out of time to swim. It's getting dark na kasi. around 5:00 na. For diiner, we just had yellow cab and isaw. Hehehe. Naghahanap nga ako ng Jollibee kasi gus2 ko sana ng burger steak. That's all for now. 'Till next update! Labels: beach, travel and living Wednesday, January 23, 2008Casino in BoraYesterday we went to a French restaurant where we had our lunch. There was a French and a Canadian (I think, because he pronounced "about" as "abowt" and he uses "A" after each of his sentence LOL) talking behind our table. While enjoying their beer, the French asked the Canadian if there is any casinos within the beach vicinity. What the Canadian told the other man instead is that, he should try online casino. The environment may not as grand as a real casino but the thrill and fun are just the same. Pro360 is an independent online gambling portal & casino guide provides up to date gambling information about the best online casinos in the world. The website itself is very user friendly and the pages are pretty straight forward. Its wesbite will make you feel as you in you're in a casino ala-Vegas. For first time casino players, the site a designated casino guide page which will allow a "newbie" to explore the tricks of the trade. Labels: entertainment Some of my QAS were already asking me how I get paid to blog. In fact, one of my used to be QAS, Ian, is now into paid blogging as well. What ever he will earn from paid blogging, he will add it on his wedding expense budget. It's really fun being online, telling stories of my life and at the same, earning some extra moolah. Blogging has been my breather every once in a while especially when office work sucks. I tried registering this Smorty last night and today, it got approved! Wow, that one is fast. Oh well, I was not surprised at all. After all, Smorty has the fastest approval and pay out system among all other paid blogging sites I have joined. Posts can get results (approved/declined) after 5 days and pay out is every week. Smorty is a service connecting advertisers with bloggers. Advertisers can pay bloggers to write opinion posts with links back to the advertisers site. So it is indeed a win-win situation. When putting up an online business, it is very important to have a very reliable shopping cart that will keep the business going. I have heard a lot of stories where business would lose customers because the shopping cart is always down. This kind of problem drives away prospective customer. Choosing an online cart software takes a lot of consideration. One is the dost or affordability of the software. No matter how fancy the software is, if its too costly, it will not be helpful to the business. Second is reliability. Again, if your online cart is always down, most probably a customer will look for another online store (with the same nature as yours) where he can place his order. It is also important that there is a technical support and customer care department where a merchant can call for cases like cart downtime. Another important factor is the easy-ness of using the product. Admit it, not all of us are software savvy. It is very important that the online hopping cart is easy to understand so that the merchant himself will know how to use the software. Where to find a shopping cart with these features? Try Ashop! This one, I'm tagging the ever famous wedding planner, Jody. Labels: tag Ah huh! We're here na at Bora. Thanks for my cyber-mum Doritos for sponsoring this trip. We were supposed to have our honeymoon last December but as I have said in my previous post, we just had to cancel the it. We're gonna have another trip to Singapore sometime Feb. 2008 (kamusta naman ang leave?!!) We are currently checked in at Boracay Regency. The place is nice. It's in Station 2 facing the beach front. We're gonna stay here from Wednesday till Sunday morning. Sarrraaappp!!!! (Though honestly, I don't like it here anymore... I just feel that Bora is now too exploited. But Russell hasn't been here yet so sige na lang...) Anyway, we left Manila via Cebu Pacific at around 8:50. At exactly 10am, we were at Kalibo airport na. We had to ride a van from Kalibo to Caticlan. It was P200/person. At Caticlan port, we had to ride a ferry boat. It was a 15-minute ride. To reach station 2, we had to ride a tricyle. Too bad. I wasn't able to capture a picture of it. Kakatuwa lang kasi kaiba ung trike dito compared sa Manila. As soon as we arrived, I'm fainting to death out of hunger so we decided to eat to the nearest resto in place. Nagwawating na ko sa galit kasi nga gutom na. And so we found a French/Asian resturant. Verdict? Di ako nag enjoy! We paid almost P800 for a bottle of san mig light, baked oyster (na wala namang cheese kung di butter lang) and a set meal. GrRrRrR! Mas mabuti pang nag isaw na lang kami. Anyway, it was a leeson learned for me. Wag mashadong matakaw para makahanap ng matinong pagkain. Hahahaha! So there... I am meaning to share pictures with you kaso si Russell, nag ugaling batugan. Pagtapos mabusog, natulog na.LOL Di ko mahanap kung nasan USB ng cam nya. Hihihi! Labels: beach, travel and living Monday, January 21, 2008Last Karaoke with DijAs I have mentioned before, one of my QAS just got promoted as the new Production Training Coordinator. Being the harbat queen that I am, I forced him to treat the entire team for a karaoke. LOL He knows that I have always been like that (as I got so many QAS got promoted into different positions in the company.) Anyways, last Saturday was technically his last day under my team. And that day, we went to the ever reliable MUCHOS. Russell fetched me from the office. Bwisit na meeting yan. Instead of meeting him at around 5am, we met at around 6am na. We had a great time drinking lots of beer, the uberly-spicy sisig and the ear-drum breaking sing-along! I sang 2 songs, Russell did 4 (I think) and the newly promoted Dij, sang quite a few. But the greatest performance on that day was Olive's LUHA. lolz. That was of course, dedicated for the heart-broken She. Hataw si Olive sa performance. Nakakatuwa. Anyway, here are few pictures to share. Now tell me, how can I leave such a lovely team? It's really hard to leave your comfort zone, I guess. ahhhhhhh!!!! contemplate contemplate contemplate! Saturday, January 19, 2008Reason why the wedding ring is worn on the fourth finger...My mother-in-law bought the wedding rings for us. We are really not that particular with rings so when Mama Luvie asked us what style we want to have we simply answered "No Diamonds, just two-toned ring : gold and white gold." Why not diamonds? Secret, sa amin na lang yun. Baka maka-offend pa ako. To each his own naman di ba? Our Very Simple Ring (pix courtesy of Bebeh) While some of my fellow brides are worrying whether wedding ring should be wear on the right or on the left hand, I wondered, "why the fourth finger? why not the middle?" As always, God makes things for a reason. I have already posted this trivia in my other blog but I just want to re-post it since members of blogroll in this blog are "new" to me. Please follow step by step, God really made this a miracle. First, show your palm, middle fingers should be bent and put together back to back. Second, put the 4 fingers left, tip to tip. (As illustrated below) Now let us begin, follow the instructions below, to find out why among the 5 pairs of fingers only 1 pair cannot split. Try to open your thumbs: The thumb represents your parents, because one day as the cycle of life goes, our parents will have to leave us.
Please close up your thumbs. Open your second finger: The second finger represents your brothers and sisters, they have their own family or lives to live. As a result they will also leave us. Now close up your second fingers. Open up your little finger: This represents your child or the children you are going to have. Sooner or later they too will leave because they too will live their own lives. Now close your little finger, try to open your fourth finger where we put our wedding rings: You will be surprised to find out that it cannot open at all. Because it represents husband and wife, you will be attached to each other. Now, we know why... :) Labels: trivia I am working on a graveyard shift (call center) and so is Russell (gas station). We met today at around 5am to celebrate one of my QASs promotion (story to follow). We had some groceries before heading to home. We slept at around 2pm. Mom cooked mechado for her favorite manugang but too bad, we only woke up around 11pm. Ahhhh!!! Working on a grave yard shift can be really crazy. Labels: week end A bride from the yahoo support group for soon-to-wed couple where I used to be active posted an inquiry about having a prenup pictorial with paintball as their theme. I admit, I was envious of this (despite of the fact that we had a unique prenup concept too) idea. I guess it's because Russell and I never really indulged ourselves into playing paint ball together. Russell told me though that his cousin, Richard is a notorious paintball addict. He even bought himself a spyder paintball gear just to feel that he is a professional paint ball player. One of the websites where he looked for paintball equipment is http://www.pntball.com. Try it and see what this site can offer paint ball fanatics! I haven't really used DSL for the past few days that I've been in the house. Some thing is wrong with our desktop. I think it's about the reformatting the hard drive. As much as I wanted to do a reformat, I can't! Brother (who is in Malaysia right now) has some important data/files in the desktop that doesn't have any back up in his lap top. As Russell just came in the house today, I get the chance to use DSL again. He called our DSL provider to configure the network connection and thank God! I am now online again! Labels: blogging For Russell and my team, we are always looking forward to week ends. Just like most of the people I know, weekend is family time. Currently, Russell and I are in my parents' house in QC. Brother is in Malaysia so we have to look after them. We will go back to Cavite by Monday though. Labels: weekend review Friday, January 18, 2008Thank God It's Friday!I am feeling lazy today. Maybe because week end is just a few hours away. After the shift, we're gonna have a farewell party for Dij. I am not sure if we will still go to the Ortigas night market. I got tickets for Ratsky Morato tonight but I am not sure either if I am in the mood to go out tonight. I treat my week ends as "holy". All I wanna do is rest. Labels: week end Last month, I got a requets form one of the interviewing managers in the company for a letter of recommendation on one of my QAS, Dij. I was already informed that a letter of regret has already been sent to him that is why I was quite puzzled why theey were asking for a recommendation. Nevertheless, I did one for him. Dij is such a darling so I made thsi recommendation letter. "Since the start of our training, I have seen Darwin's potential as somebody who can perform training tasks. I remember when I asked my team members on what position they want to apply for given a chance, Darwin told me that he wants to be a part of the training department. He told me “I want to be a trainer. Actually any position within the training department. I know that this the kind of career path I want to pursue.†His initiative, passion for work, professionalism, dependability and commitment to the team's goals and objectives is undoubtedly exceptional. His attendance is impeccable as well. He rarely goes absent and I know that if he’s absent, he is badly sick. He takes on new tasks diligently and without any complaint. Darwin’s competence as a “back up†trainer for Qwest Revenue will never be questioned. He was originally trained for Qwest-SBG. That is why when I was asked who I think is going to be the best candidate to be the SBG back-up trainer, I recommended (without having second thoughts) him as I think that he can best perform the task. It was just unfortunate that he has to attend some serious legal family matters (Davao) so his stint as a back up trainer had to take the backseat. Nevertheless, when he came back, he embraced all the tasks I have assigned to him which included monitoring Qwest CFS. Currently, he is assigned to do Qwest Specialty Center while doing CFS. This campaign that is new to him. Nevertheless, he remains to be one of the top performers in my team. Having said these things, it only shows how competent and dedicated Darwin is. I have never seen such a QAS who can easily learn a task with minimal supervision. He would do self-study. His flexibility is like water. “He will follow the shape of the container†so to speak. He’s a model to our team- a quick learner and a true team player indeed. I am so happy that you are asking for a recommendation. Darwin is such an asset to my team. I hate to lose him. But if losing him means that he will have better career opportunity in the training department, nobody can be as happy and proud as I am- knowing that once upon a time, I had a QAS like Darwin." And guess what? HE GOT THE JOB!!!!! I am just so sad that another QAS will leave my team.. Hmmm...seems there are less reasons for me to stay in the company. Labels: office stories This site has been up and running for less than two weeks. I was quite hesitant over registering it to payperpost as I am afraid that the age of this blog might not meet the site's requirements. But I tried regestering it anyway. I already thought of having this website denied because for a week, I didn't receive any update from PPP. Today, I received a confirmation saying that this blog has alredy been approved and is ready to pick available posts. YeheyYyY!!! I have posted in my other blog that a new MAC notebook is set to come out in the balck market sometime in February. Boy, I've been salivating over that since I saw it in the news yesterday. I now have more reasons to do paid blogging. LOL I know that my very good cyber-friend kumare, Kathy has already purchased a DSLR out of paid blogging. Aside from the MAC book, I am saving my blog earnings to purchase Russell either a Nikon D80 or Canon 40D. I know, I know. Those cameras are quite expensive. And it might take me a year before I could earn all the money that I need to purchase one. But hey?!! Patience is a virtue. Besides, we no longer have any wedding expenses to worry now. We can now enjoy buying the things that we would love to have, something that we were not able to do for the past 17 months. So good luck to my blog earnings! Labels: blog money Wednesday, January 16, 2008The Right PersonFor the longest time time in our relationship, it is only yesterday that I appreciated how loud Russelll would snore when he sleeps. I usually get irritated with it (who doesn't?). But yesterday was a different thing. Tuwang-tuwa ako habang pinagmamasdan ko syang matulog. Last Tuesday was Nany Pene's (Rusell grandma-mother side) 4th death anniversary. I came home at around 7:30 from my graveyard. I dropped by at Caltex since he manned the store Monday night. We both came home at around 8:30 as he had to finish some reprots before going gome. We didn't doze off instantly as we fooled around with the utots and kulangots (as always). I think it's about 11:00 am when we finally fell asleep. We woke up at around 2pm. so all we had is just 3 hours of sleep. I needed to go to Metrobank as 2 of my credits are already due on that day. Metrobank's teller service is the worst service I have experience so far. (Read the post about it here.). We arrived at Metrobank Cavite City around 2:30 and left around 4:00. We initially thought that we will go home so that we would just go along with my in-laws. Ayaw ni Russell magdrive ng MB 100 van..mashado daw malaki. Unfortunately, Mama Luvie texted him that they are already on the cemetery. He had no other choice but to the drive the van all the way to the cemeteray. When we got there, we were welcomed with lotsa food. It was a "pigging out" celebration. We stayed there for only 2 hours and we went back home again to steal an hour of nap. At around 8pm, he woke up because he had to take over Caltex's night shift. I didn't go with him (something that is very unusual) because I was really sleepy at that time. I just told him that I would join him around midnight. I though I'm gonna be awake for a longer period of time. But I am wrong. After 2 hours of manning the gas store, Russell fetched me home. Di ko kinaya ang puyat. He stayed there until 8am. In short, it was like a 12-hour shift. Mas grabe pa sa work ko because I only have 8 hours (with 1 hour break) work. Anyway, we got home at around 8:30. As usual, kulitan blues pa rin. It was about 10am today when I suddenly felt hungry. I was craving for Jolllibee's nachos overload. Though Russell is too tired to go outside, he just phoned Caltex people and they had it delivered to our home. I was so happy. Talagang hindi nya ako pinapabayaan. I really feel pampered. When the food arrived, I thought he is still awake. To my surprise, he is already snoring. I didn't bother waking him up since I know that he is too puyat. While I'm enjoying my nachos, I looked at his face, kiss the tip of his nose and brushed his hair with my fingers. Then I whispered "I love you...". I thought I woke up him as he looked at me in the eye. Pero naalimpungatan lang yata. He went back to sleep again. While looking at his face, I realized how lucky I am for marrying a guy like him. He didn't have to help their family business but he opted to do it. I adore him. I embrace all the flaws that he has. He is not perfect though. But he is too damn right for me. We woke up late tonight, around 6:30 na. I took a bath first. Hindi ko na sya ginising because he seems to enjoy his good sleep. After taking a bath, that's the time that I told him "Asawa ko, gising na po...." I didn't want to go trhough all the details that happened at that time. One thing though, he acted as if I'm pregnant. He said "Oh dahan-dahan ka, baka mapano si baby!" to which I responded "Tukmol ka, ano yan..baby tae! Tae lang laman ng tyan ko oy!" LOL He just smiled. I can tell that his smile was something different. I know how much he wants to have a baby. I just told him though that we had to enjoy each other's company first before having a child. Ahh... I don't know how to end this post. All I know is that I have married the right person at the right time for the right reason. Labels: relationships, russell I just paid two of my credit card bills yesterday at Metrobank Cavite City. It was really a horrible experience. We arrived at the bank around 2:30. I thought that I only have a little time as banking hours is only up to 3pm and it's a Tuesday so there will be lesser people doing bank transaction. Monday and Friday are usually the busiest days of the week . I got customer number 76. To my dismay, the display board showing the customer number that tellers are serving is only 31! AHhhh!!! Fine, I kept my cool. At around 3pm, the securit on duty told the clients that those who are just going to withdraw/deposit with MetrobanK Cavite City accounts can just go to the New Accounts desk. If my counting is right, tehre were only 10 people left in the 2 teller's area. It was a total bummer seeing tellers busy gossiping instead of working faster in order to finish the number of clients that are left in their area. Grrrrrr... 1 hour to serve 10 clients and there were 2 tellers? ahhhhh....! Really frustrating. That is the worst banking experience I ever had so far. In Manila, the longest time I had to wait (also in Metrobank) was only 30 minutes. It was a consolation though that the teller where I was assigned is nice enough to inform me that the bank do not sell dollars. They just buy. Russell and I were thinking of buying dolalrs now that the dolar value is fluctuating. I had to ask for any requirements. But as I have said, they don't seel dollars so might just gonna go ahead buying dollars at BDO. Ahhhh... I don't wanna pay my bills with onsite bank. I really have to register my accounts with online banking. Labels: finance Tuesday, January 15, 2008Rattled on SnakeI was really rattled yesterday. Why? A long snake was caught passing the street (just across Caltex and Jollibee). I am really afraid of snake that is why when I saw the reptile, I immediately ran. Bad thing though that I got my ankle sprained. Ahhh... I can hardly walk yesterday. That is why I did not report for work. It's good now though. I think I can make it tonight na. Last night was not that busy. But during week ends, you can expect that there are lots of people drinking outside the gas store. Kulang na nga lang banda. hehehehe! Anyway, here is a picture of the snake that was caught by bystanders last night. Ewww... I'm still afraid of snakes! Labels: everyday stories Monday, January 14, 2008Deadliest WeaponMightier than a knife and a gun, the deadliest weapon (I THINK) is FART, I mean a stinking FART..and Russell has the deadliest of them all. I really don't know what is up with him but he is really "gassy." On the average, he would fart around 6 times a day. I know this sounds gross but I just have to blog about it. While my ex would be shy when he farts, Russell doesn't seem to care at all. He's always like that since I met him. I guess pretending is not just his cup of tea. Anyways, I said that a fart is the deadliest weapon I have encountered because at times, I would get suffocated whenever Russell farts. Imagine an enclosed room with A/C running and then somebody farts. Ewwww! That really sucks! It's like being in Balintawak, Novaliches and Aranque wet market all at the same time. GrrrRrR..... Today, I gave him a dose of his own medicine. While giving him a back massage, I sitted on the back of his butt and released a stinky loud fart. LOL Up until this time, we are laughing out loud. Ahhhhh...married life. Labels: married life My ankle is in real pain today. SO instead of helping hubby in the gas station, I just stayed in the house, cooked breakfast and I am now watching TV. I'm watching Japaneses cartoon. I remember the first time I was exposed to Japanes cartoon, it was Cedie. Then came Sarah and the Remi and so on and so forth. t has been my habit to watch an episode of these programs before leaving for school. I even watched the movie version of Sarah where Camille Pratts played the lead role and Angelica Panganiban played Becky. They were really cute back then. Anyway, I have just finished watching an episode of Remi. Oh man, this children cartoon series never fails to make me cry. Now I am laughing with the Trapp Family singers. I am still mesmerized with Maria's charm. ![]() At first, I really thought that the Trapp family is just fiction. I was already in high school when I learned that this cartoon series is for real. Sometimes, it's really nice to watch cartoon series of my generation. I makes me feel young. :) Labels: entertainment I got this tag from my uberly gorgeous kumareng Kathy. This may sound harsh to others but I just can't help it. Besides, this is how I am. I'd rather die rather than keep those rants to myself. I need an outlet to burst it out and I think that this blog is the best one. I named this post as "user-friendly" as I am really pissed off with one of Russell's friends. If I can only tell this person upfront how disgusting he is, I would have done it long time ago. Of course, I won't do that as this would only lead to breaking the heart of my hubby. This pathetic guy is hubby's best friend. Why did I say user-friendly? HmmmMmmm..how about these: * he would just visit/text Russell when ever he needs something * he treats Russell as if he is his driver when in fact, he is just borrowing hubby's car * he would always ask for money (though just a little amount) but the point is, he is asking money to support his vices (asking for P5 every time to buy cigarette is really ANNOYING!) * there was this one time that he told hubby that he will drop by at their gasoline station (hubby's family manages one Caltex branch---and this is wi-fi zone) to do his resumé. He has been jobless for 8 years now and hubby is the one who keeps on encouraging him to find a job in order to support himself. To my dismay, it was hubby who did the entire resumé (and I did the editing). He even had it printed in colored (for the resume pix). GrrRrRrrR, the jerk is supposed to be the one who should do his resume. After all, it is HIS resume, not hubby's. After having his resume printed out, he abruptly left Caltex. At first, I was pity of him because of his situation (depending on others to keep himself ALIVE). But now that I see that the real problem lies with his attitude, he always get into my nerves. * he seems to be a hungry wolf, always. When ever he would text hubby, he would always first if there is anything to eat either in the house or in the gas station. * while he keeps on borrowing money from hubby, he has the guts to lend money to his girlfriends (duh!!!) * it's not a secret that he steals money from his brother's dental clinic that is why as much as it's easy to have this friend be employed in their gas station, this guy couldn't be trusted at all! * tonight, he told hubby that he will accompany him in Caltex (hubby is supervising the night shift for the mean time). We brought food and brought our lap top so that he won't get bored. But lo and behold, it's only past 11pm and he already left. This was after he finished surfing the net for two hours and after eating the food that I brought. His last message was for hubby to burn something for him. He is really a bummer. He has been to the U.S. and he doesn't have any savings at all. He is much worse than a leech. So disgusting... again... so sorry for this post. Labels: rants I am a self-confessed 24 addict. When the first 4 episodes (2-day back to-back pilot telecast) of 24 went out in the black market , I insanely headed to Quiapo to get myself a copy. To make me look even more obsessed with Jack Bauer, I bought again another DVD copy of 24 Season 6, this time with 13 episodes in it. Thanks to the court room drama series in Crime Suspense because for a while, my obsession with Jack Bauer was put into halt. Two weeks ago, I finally got myself a copy of the full episodes of Season 6. Right after coming from my graveyard shift, I had a 24 marathon and so I finished 24's latest season in less than 12 hours. Not enough sleep and time to eat....lol Season 6 was quite different because this time, Jack is going to save his own life (albeit, there is still the usual tag line "i need to protect the American people."). Crap but it entertains me.
-Take a helicopter to work. -Issue threats that involve family members and/or body parts. -Always mention that you're running out of time. -Carry a manpurse. Wear aviators. Don't do drugs. -Start each conversation with "I'm federal agent (your name), and today is the longest day of my life". -Carry around zip ties and a pair of pliers (because you never know). -Ask a coworker for either a hacksaw or lighter fluid. -Keep a car battery and some jumper cables on your desk. -Use your cell phone as much as possible. If the battery dies, just pretend it's still working. -End phone calls by stating "remember, I'm in a Flank 2 position". Works well when you are on a conference call. -Use at least 5 exclamation points in every email!!!!! -Throw out a "Dammit" during the day, just for the hell of it. -Drink each time you hear a co-worker say "Dammit". -Make a mistake at work? Blame Nina Myers. -Request everything be sent to your PDA (works best if you don't have one). -Accuse co-workers and/or children of being moles. -Make sure to let your co-workers catch you looking at Google Earth maps of their houses. When they ask why, tell them that you've tracked a terrorist cell to that location. Samples Co-worker: How was your weekend? You: damnit Bob, we don't have time for simple questions. Co-worker: I just asked about your weekend. You: Dammit. Who are you working for? Co-worker: Never mind, forget I asked. *** Co-worker: Hey man. Did you already get breakfast? You: I've killed 3 people today and no I've yet to eat breakfast. Dammit! Co-worker: Is that a threat? You: That's not a threat, that's a fact. *** Boss: Hey, where are the reports I asked for?(pull out stapler, move towards boss) You: I think the question you should be asking is how are you going to read the reports after I staple your eyelids to your desk! *** (If a co-worker tries to talk to you while you're using the urinal, finish up, flush, walk over to the sink, wash your hands, and remove a paper towel from the dispenser.) You: You probably don't think that I can force this towel down your throat. But trust me, I can. All the way. Except I'd hold onto this one little bit at the end. When your stomach starts to digest it, I pull it out. Taking your stomach lining with it. For most people it would take about a week to die. It's very painful. (Reference) *** Co-worker: Hey, can you cover for me? I need to run an errand. You: Let's get one thing straight--- the only reason you're still conscious is that I don't want to do your work for you. Finally, remember that for the whole 24 hours of Talk Like Jack Bauer Day, you cannot go to the bathroom or charge a cell phone. Also, it should only take you a maximum of 3 minutes to get anywhere you are going. Labels: entertainment Damn those network feud. I'm really getting pissed about this war network. As if the viewer cares who is really number 1 in the ratings. I know for a fact that ratings serve as gauge for advertisers to know the proper programs where they should place their ads but really, this network feud is starting to get annoying. GrrrrRr.. Labels: entertainment I owe this to Che-Che. It's been a while. I just haven't had the time to do this tag so please pardon me. Here’s the rule: Remove 1 question from below, and add in your personal question, make it a total of 20 questions, then tag 1. At what age do you wish to marry? Labels: meme Thanks to Eds for this meme. I just realized that I haven't blogged anything about the things I should be grateful for the past year. 1.) More than ever. I am very grateful that God gave me the best parents in the whole damn universe. They didn't give me all the things that I WANT, but all the things that I NEED. Thus, they taught me the value of being thankful of what I have. 2.) Russell. I used to tell myself that I'll get married when I'm already 28. But thanks to Russell, I am now married at 25. I couldn't imagine myself getting married at this age if it's not Russell. Russell is not perfect. He is just RIGHT for me. 3.) My brother, sister, nephew and niece for keeping me sane and for charging my energy during those "harassing" days of my wedding preparation. And for all the love they have shown me. 4.) My entire team. I couldn't think of any other reason why I still in my company. I have blogged for tens of times about my disappointment over mismanagement. But hey, I'm still there! 5.) My in-laws. The entire Ocampo-Hernandez clan. Special mention to my father and mother-in-law who from the start, made me feel that I am very welcome to the family. Now that I am officially part of the family, I feel that I am much closer to them Thank God, there is no monster-in-law. 6.) Blogger friends. It's always nice to meet new people and feel as if you are close to them even if you don't really know them personally. I get to know a lot of things and through those bloggers, I get to have myself indulge into paid blogging. Thus, I'm earning extra moolah. Now I'm tagging Ian and James. I got to take this test because of Jhona. 85% Find your Match at JustSayHi Hahahaha... This explains why I blog even while I am at work or even if I am in the mall.
